Practical AI at work
HR policies and documents
Open 4.5-day AI courses, Nairobi first.
Delegates from different organisations learn together on realistic tasks, protect sensitive data and leave with something their organisation can use on Monday.
Practical Generative AI for Workplace Productivity
Turn everyday writing, research, meetings and analysis into faster, reviewable workflows.
Full outline
Designed for: Managers, administrators, analysts, communications teams, customer-service teams and public officers.
Level: Foundation · no coding required
- Day 1: AI fluency, opportunities and safe setup. How generative AI works; the jagged frontier; tool comparison; personal-account leakage; baseline task and safe-use rules.
- Day 2: Prompting for professional work. Role, context, task, constraints, examples and evaluation; drafting emails, briefs, minutes, policies and presentations.
- Day 3: Research, synthesis and verification. Document interrogation, source trails, hallucination checks, fact-checking, meeting preparation and decision briefs.
- Day 4: Data, templates and repeatable workflows. Spreadsheet assistance, structured analysis, reusable prompt libraries, team hand-offs and human review checkpoints.
- Day 5 · morning: Capstone worklab. Build and test one job-specific workflow; compare against the Day 1 baseline; peer review; 30-day adoption plan.
Participants will be able to
- Choose the right AI tool and task instead of using one chatbot for everything.
- Write reliable prompts with context, constraints, examples and review criteria.
- Draft, summarise, research and analyse without exposing sensitive information.
- Measure time saved and quality improved on one recurring task.
Capstone: A tested personal productivity workflow with a before/after benchmark and review checklist.
Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot; Word/Docs; Excel/Sheets. Vendor-neutral exercises.
Every delegate leaves with
- A safe-use checklist for public AI tools
- A reusable prompt and workflow pack
- A role-specific capstone built with synthetic or redacted data
- A 30-day workplace adoption plan
- A Swift Agility certificate of completion
Responsible AI Governance, Data Protection and Risk
Move from unmanaged staff experimentation to a practical, documented AI control system.
Full outline
Designed for: Directors, ICT leaders, risk and compliance teams, DPOs, auditors, legal teams and department heads.
Level: Leadership and practitioner
- Day 1: What is already happening inside the organization. Shadow AI discovery, use-case inventory, risk tiers, stakeholder mapping and an honest readiness baseline.
- Day 2: Kenya’s data-protection duties in AI use. Lawful processing, minimisation, cross-border tools, DPIAs, automated decisions, human intervention and practical case clinics.
- Day 3: Governance that people can actually follow. NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001 concepts translated into ownership, policy, acceptable use, vendor due diligence and records.
- Day 4: Testing, monitoring and incident response. Hallucination and bias tests, approval gates, logs, red-team exercises, escalation, breach response and management reporting.
- Day 5 · morning: Boardroom simulation and roadmap. Review a proposed AI use case, decide its controls, present the risk position and agree a 90-day implementation sequence.
Participants will be able to
- Inventory current AI use and classify use cases by impact and data sensitivity.
- Apply Kenya’s Data Protection Act to AI-assisted work and automated decisions.
- Define roles, approvals, human oversight, procurement checks and incident response.
- Produce a realistic 90-day responsible-AI roadmap.
Capstone: An AI use-case register, one-page staff policy, risk register and 90-day governance roadmap.
Tools: Risk templates, Kenya-law case files, NIST/ISO-aligned checklists and approved AI tools using dummy data.
Every delegate leaves with
- A safe-use checklist for public AI tools
- A reusable prompt and workflow pack
- A role-specific capstone built with synthetic or redacted data
- A 30-day workplace adoption plan
- A Swift Agility certificate of completion
The next cohort forms when the first ten delegates register. Nairobi first.
Travel and accommodation are not included. NITA reimbursement applies once Swift Agility is a registered provider.
